Roma Street update

The new underground Roma Street station will become Brisbane’s “Grand Central”, connecting passengers with the existing suburban bus and rail networks, as well as regional and interstate bus and train services.

Construction works on the new underground station at Roma Street are progressing well.

Demolition of the former Hotel Jen and East Tower is complete, while the demolition of the former West Tower lower levels is almost complete.

As demolition of the Brisbane Transit Centre is completed, access into the station will be adjusted.

Temporary footpath closures will occur over the coming months. Closures will be in off-peak periods and traffic controllers will assist. Please follow the signage and directions of traffic control.
