The warmth of spring means we’re inching closer and closer to summer: the season of beach hangs, dips in the pool, sunbathing, moonlight cinemas, balmy nights dancing and the perfect time to visit the Gold Coast. And by the end of this month, you can do them all in one place.
Cali Beach Club is Surfers Paradise’s newest entertainment precinct, claiming to be the largest day and night hub in Australia. It’s by Artesian Hospitality, which owns and operates a number of restaurants and nightclubs in the city.
“Our goal was to bring the ultimate poolside day and night experience to Australia and that’s exactly what we have done. Spring is the perfect time to introduce Cali, before things really heat up for the summer,” managing partner Matthew Keegan said in a statement.
When it opens at the end of this month, the adult playground will have four large swimming pools surrounded by VIP cabanas and day beds, two restaurants and four bars, sports facilities (including a large sandpit for beach volleyball), an outdoor cinema and a dance floor.
Step into a 26-person glass elevator and make your way up four storeys to the 5000-square-metre lifestyle and entertainment precinct, with rooftop vibes and views of the ocean, plus the Surfers Paradise skyline. Almost $10 million was spent on bringing the venue to life.
No word yet on what the restaurants and bars will be serving, but Artesian Hospitality promises “world-class” dining and entertainment partnerships. Expect a mix of international and Australian residents DJs and artists on deck.
Cali Beach opens on September 24, 2021 at 21A Elkhorn Avenue, Surfers Paradise.
